SpaceRaker is the Space Tourism website. Everything related to Space tourism and travel is of interest to us so that’s what we write about!
We’re the go-to website for anyone interested in this amazing, burgeoning sector, covering everything including but not limited to; the latest launches, new companies offering space tourism services, significant updates from any of those companies, competitions to win trips to space, news from space entrepreneurs Musk, Bezos et al and data related to the space tourism industry.
So whether you’re simply interested in and excited about this sector or if you’re considering a trip to space yourself and want to know what your options are, we’re here to help.
p.s. we’re huge space-tourism enthusiasts rather than astronauts, rocket scientists or astronomers (although we do hope to interview all of them on this site).
What is Space Tourism?
Space Tourism ‘is human space travel for recreational purposes‘ and encompasses a range of space-related experiences and trips ranging from week-long stays on the International Space Station (ISS) to rocket-powered trips just beyond the Karman Line (the generally agreed ‘start of space’) and even balloon-flights enabling participants to see the curvature of the earth and the blackness of space.
If someone is paying for the privilege of being there (as opposed to receiving compensation for being there – by a governmental agency or a company) then they’re a space tourist.
